Biography
As a lover of all things “cute and fluffy,” Joyce has incorporated her love for animals with her creative background and excitement for writing.
Her passion as a book worm began since childhood crediting the Pizza Hut "Book It!" program being the intricate reason she developed a love for literature. Thus Joyce’s journey launched as a sponge for the written word. As a youngster in elementary school when given a dollar by her parents, she was regularly able to pinpoint a new found book to purchase at the Scholastic Book Fair. Hence she eventually amassed a small library of children's books throughout her youth. A fond memory while in school was when authors would visit the school library and read their books to the class. A complete treat!
Not wanting to skip a beat during summer breaks, Joyce would write and draw comic books for her brothers to read. Upon amusing reflection, although they weren't very good, she made hundreds of them with economical copy paper which still brought the siblings much entertainment. Through all this however, Joyce never fully realized how much she enjoyed writing until high school. She won multiple creative writing contests, including a few international ones. It was during college while in art school, graduating with a degree in Graphic Design, that she realized she missed having an outlet to write.
Now as an adult, Joyce has decided to fulfill the dreams of her younger self and is publishing her own books in hopes that she too can help aid in a child’s love for reading, writing, and all things “cute and fluffy.”
